POPPY FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers support the Festival and the community in a number of ways. Groups and individuals will enjoy a fun-filled weekend of helping others by assisting with ticket sales, giveaways and visitor information. To volunteer (must be 16 or older), please complete an application below and fax to 661-723-5913 or contact John Sanders at (661) 723-6071 or jsanders@cityoflancasterca.org. Volunteers enjoy the Poppy Festival so much that they come back year after year to ensure a wonderful experience for patrons.

Lancaster boasts one of California's most abundant crops of the vibrant poppies that are California's state flower.

For several years, the City of Lancaster co-sponsored the Wildflower Information Center with the Lancaster Woman's Club to cater the interests of thousands of visitors who flocked to the Antelope Valley for a glimpse of these brilliant, beautiful flowers.

Held at the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery, visitors could pick up free wildflower maps and learn about the best viewing locations before heading out to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. Read More >>
