California Poppy Festival April XX-XX, 2009 @ Lancaster City Park

Join us for two days of music music, art, food and fun celebrating the state flower of California and the appearance of poppies in the Antelope Valley! Warm breezes replace the winter chill, jubilant laughter fills the air, and poppies burst into bloom blanketing hillsides in a sea of orange. The California Poppy Festival kicks off spring in the Antelope Valley with a glorious array of celebrated performers, unrivaled events, and mouth-watering delicacies designed to delight, enchant, and amuse people of all ages.

Pre-sale Poppy Festival tickets available for a limited time! These special offer tickets cannot be mailed or held at "will call". If four or more are purchased at one time, tickets will be discounted $1 each and cost $7 for adults and $4 for children and seniors. Pre-sale tickets are non-refundable and non-replaceable.

General Information The 2009 California Poppy Festival is scheduled for April 25-26, 2009. The Poppy Festival runs from 10am to 6pm on both days, and takes place rain or shine. Admission prices are $8 for adults (13-61), $5 for seniors and children (6-12) and free for children under 5. Parking is free.

Maps and Directions The 2009 California Poppy Festival takes place at the Lancaster City Park. Parking is available in a temporary lot operated on 10th Street West. From Los Angeles, head north on the 14 freeway. Exit at Avenue L and turn east. Make a left turn on 10th Street West and follow the signs.

Antelopes On Parade During the 2009 Poppy Festival and throughout the summer, the City of Lancaster will be implementing an exciting public art project. Five fiberglass antelope will be painted by local artists, unveiled at the Poppy Festival and then installed in prominent public locations throughout the summer.
